Default Series II/III transplant in '87 ?

I've been off list for awhile. Does anyone know if someone has successfully transplanted a GM 3800 Series II or III into an '87 Bonneville? If so, can you point me to the info (if on this list) or a website?

Thanks in advance.

Search for Frankenbonne. It was done in a '90. The body type is the same, however since you will have the LG3 3.8 rather then the LN3 3800 a bunch of stuff will likely be different. It'* completely possible, but you will have to do alot of the guess work (especially electrical) yourself.

Alot of members here will be able to help figure stuff out as well

Thanks for the info. I'll search as you suggested. Aside from the electrical adventures, are there any structural/mounting mods required, or is it pretty much a direct fit ?

if i remember right, frankenbonne had provisions for the torque axis mount on the newer series 2 motor, but im not sure that your 87 has them.

just a fyi the subframe bolts are a bitch after all these years, and will like to break loose and spin freely in the body, which is one hell of a headache. i just did a subframe drop on my car, trust me its not fun.
