Codes 34 & 41 on 1991 SSE
PLEASE HELP!!!
1991SSE
When the car is idling is runs rough, step on the gas and it hesitates. Once you get going the car runs like a dream, lots of power, good fuel economy.
I put a code reader on it and it came up with code 34 and code 41.
I need to fix but not much money.

Eeesh...code 41...cam position sensor. One of the worst, it could be as simple as a wonky cam position sensor, or as bad as the cam magnet being cracked or gone.
Hate to break it to ya, but, unless you have know-how and the right tools, Code 41 is a bad scene....trust me, I just dealt with it. I ignored my code 41 issues for 1 year, it cost me $850 dollars CDN.
If you can do it on your own, should be anymore then $100 to $150 bucks in parts

Hmmm, you can probably do the MAF sensor on your own no prob. Maybe try saving up for the Cam positioing. I lived with it for about a year. :? the sputter accel sucks huh?

:( I have to live with the sputter accel too! I saw a thing in summit or jegs a while back that replaces your maf sensor and makes it react to mashing the throttle faster for faster throttle responce and it adjust your timing too. It was made by a high quality comapny and all but I don't know about it yet. I still havent taken my car to see what codes mine is throwing yet but it probably is a 41. I do have the tools to fix it though and will do it myself.
