Ok the past few days, i have been doing some excessive WOT runs....and today i noticed that it feels like there is like a slip/grind feeling coming from the left wheel area...kinda feels like a loose CV. You can't hear anything, it just slips a little and then a VERY slight grind...and only does it every once in a while and is fine and cruising. It only seems to do it when i am slightly turned to the left and accelerating from a stop. It won't do it when I do a straight WOT. Maybe I should be nicer to my poor old car? For some reason, I don't think it is the CV because the boot looks brand new on the left side if anything, it would be the right side. I am really at a loss on this one. Could it be my trans? Maybe I should take it and have it flushed? Because when I did it last year I just drained and replaced and the fluid right now is not exactly pink. Yeah, it is brown. Don't hurt me. I really hate neglecting my car, its just that I hate neglecting my wallet even more. I have the money right now, but umm, this my be the deciding factor of me going to WCBF. Although, I am not about to drive a car trans-america with dirty transmission fluid, that is like setting the thing on fire. Ok, please let me know what you guys think. I am probably going to go have that done tomorrow then over at Havoline XpressLube. They have that special machine and god knows I don't. It has been shifting kind of hard and has been feeling sort of sluggish. I was behind a '90 LE getting on the freeway and he like walked away from me and i was almost WOT. i think she be slippin. My oil is not due again for another 1000 and I just found out today that my K&N is missing again. And I have not taken it in for a while. soo...that could be a sluggish reason.

Do you guys think it is worth it for me to bring her to WCBF?

Also, I know that there is no such thing as mechanic in a bottle but has anyone tried Casite Tranny Honey? I know someone said that the other stuff works for stop slip or something. Someone please post on it. Thanks you guys. Man I love this club!

If your fluid is that bad, definately get that changed. Could the noise be your differential? I 've never used the Tranny Honey. Seafoam'* Trans Tune freed up what was likely a stickiing solenoid on my daughter'* '91 Grand Prix that was slipping after a stop. Others have had good luck with Lucas Oil.

I think you are abusing a car that you know to be on its last legs and no amount of money that you or your parents spend on fixing it is going to stop you from driving it to death.
As far as Lucas brand transmission stop slip, I have used it with success in a car that I drove with care for a summer. As the name implies, it helps a transmission stop slipping. But it won't work miracles. I think that you need to replace the loose nut behind the wheel.

something else that it did for the first time is not downshift all the way and then i felt it shift...hmm..i think a trans flush would fix it...we will see..but i would not say it is weak..i mean it moves and i maintain it very well, its just that the last time i had the oil changed the place said the fluid was fine, i just replaced the struts...so u cant say i dont maintain it...you should ride in it, from the inside, you would think its new!

I guess that read a tad harsher than I meant. I can see that you try to maintain your car. But when your post starts out " I have been doing excessive WOT runs" and you ask about drivetrain anomalies, it sounds to me like you need some stern advice. If it'* your car and you think it'* excessive, why do you drive it like that?

ok, i see your point. I did not really mean excessively, i just sort of meant more than usual. And this drivetrain problem(*) are not new, they just all of a suden became more apparent thats all. anyways, that slip is only apparent right after i start it and put it in gear...sometimes..so i mean, i dont think it is a big deal as of yet.

also, no one has said anything about the other question I asked about WCBF, or maybe someone did and im just an idiot...which i am but hey, what do yah want...

what is WCBF?
Do you mean that it takes longer than you think it should to engage when you first put it in gear? Or after it engages it slips?

when you go WOT, do you break the tires loose? or should I say, does one tire break loose?
