Default Grille structure...

Hey all... quick question... since this weekend is going to be a major Bonneville workin-on weekend... I was wondering what grille structures will work for a 90 SSE... my whole structure needs to be replaced... and I'm going to go to the wreckers tommorow morning bright and early... and would like to make mine look that much better..

Thanks all..

I'm a little foggy on your "structure" term. Since you added that rather than just saying grille, I assume that you are talking about the black fiberglass piece that the grille and headlights attach to?

Yeah, I'm looking for the whole assembly that holds the headlights, grille, and sensors... I don't know what else to call it... The FSM calls it a 'Headlamp Mounting Panel'... I'm just curious if it is a SSE specific part or not... or if I can pull one off of a Buick or an Olds....

It will probably be less of an SSE specific and more of a bonneville-specific part. I know i've had mine off, it'* not really a big deal. Lining it back up can br tricky alone though.

Well, I found an SSE in the yard today... and it had a perfect headlight assembly, a decent grille (but grey, not white), the body skirt for infront of the passenger side rear wheel, a decent SSE floor mat, and my best find to date... 2 PERFECT tail lights... the lenses are still mounted and almost perfectly clear! The cashier at the yard asked me if they were Bonne SSE tail lights, I said yeah, and he said that they weren't supposed to have gone out into the yard on the car.. LOL.. he said they usually sell them for $200 a piece... I paid $40 for both!!

I'll take some pics of the tail lights tommorow when I get home and post them here...

That cashier deserves a tip.

Its very hard to find the SSE tails in good condition. but when you find em, grab em.
