Default 87-91 Power window master switch

Hey all, my driver'* side power window switch has finally bowed down after 18 years of great service. Anyone have one they'd be willing to give to me (i.e. sell ) This goes with the last few posts of thread at
http://bonnevilleclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19206

I only posted this here cuz I know I for one have casually ignored the Wanted thread and I figured this may reach someone who has a switch.

Anyone from 87-91 ought to work but see the afforementioned thread where I posted pictures of what mine looks like so you can double check. PM me or reply to the post if you have one!

Thanks all!

(unless someone has instructions on openning the switch itself up and repairing it myself (highly unlikely)).

ALSO: If someone knows the part number for it that would be almost as helplful. I got a part number for it but I want to confirm it'* the right one (the one i have i got from GMpartsdirect'* catalog and is 20628321) It'* showing up as just under $15.00 from them so If that'* the righgt part then maybe I woulldn't mind paying the 15.00 for a new one. Thanks all

Dude, it should be straight forward to pull the switch apart. I cannot get to my car, but I have the switch laying in my back seat right now... maybe if it stops snowing I can walk out to her..

Switches are just moving metal, all they do is move metal to contact, or remove contact from the 12v power source. Completing a circuit. It'* not like you are taking apart a transmission. The only thing it probably needs is a good cleaning. My power mirrors were like that. They hadn't worked in 7 years, took off the driver'* side woodgrain trim, removed switch pod, cleaned, reinstalled. Amazingly enough, the mirrors worked flawlessly, and still do. I'll see what I can do as far as getting some instructions if you don't feel confident.

Thanks for the info. I was running on the mistaken assumption that they seal it nice enough that openning it would almost surely break it but seeing as how youre saying it can be done I'll go at it right now. Dont worry about posting instructions, i'll let you know if i get stuck on anything.

Thanks!!!

If you have a hard time getting the thing apart, you could try spraying it with some electrical contact cleaner too (assuming that it'* not physically broken).

I am sorry to report.. my car is abso-friggin-lutely frozen shut. Car cover is frozen to the top of the car, doors are frozen to the car, locks are questionable.. so I cannot get to the window switch until the temps raise. Sorry man, I wish I could help more... bastard cold.
