Front Axle problems
Well I decided I was gonna pull of my front wheels and tires today to inspect my brakes which have been bad for awhile. Well after I got them off on the right side I noticed grease on the lower ball joint. Well after looking around which didn't take too long I discovered a nice tear in the outer CV Joint Boot. I believe it'* had to have happened in the last couple of weeks or so. My question is should I just replace the boot or the entire CV Joint. I don't want to have to do the job again later down the road. The joint shows no signs of failure in any way. Also what size is the axle bearing nut?

i'm just gonna replace the whole cv joint. Save the hassle of tearing it apart and putting the boot on. Still not sure on the size. I measured with a caliper and came up with a tad over 1 3/8 inch. Which comes out to about 36mm. :?

Well I went to the parts store and got what I needed. I CV joint for 70 bucks with a 20 dollar core, 1 hub socket and 1 torque wrench. Grand total $134.13. Still haven't gotten the old one out yet. Hopefully by Wednesday. I miss my Bonnie. :(

Well I got my car done today. Wasn't too bad of a job. Took less than 2 hrs for the whole job. Glad to have my car back.
