Default Need Advice on my 91 Bonnie

Hello all, im new to these forums. i have a 1991 bonneville sse. i have had it for about 1 1/2 years now. the front fender is damaged, and the frame has a hole on the front passenger side near the back of the front tire. i was wondering if it is worth it to patch the frame, and restore the car. or am i better off buying another bonnie with a non damaged frame and rebuilding that one? thank you for any help you guys can give.

if you dont mind, send your info / suggestions to " joey.fumo @ gmail.com" ( without the spaces ).

again guys.

I was checking out engine cradles a couple of weeks ago and I found a couple for US $100-150. Not a bad price, but it'* labor intesive.

not worried about the labour or cost, i can weld it easily, thing is im worried it will give out too soon. the hole is about 5 cm by 5 cm.

i just bought 600$ worth of dynamat actualy, gonna post pics of me installing it ( doors, under carpet, roof, trunk, firewall...) , might as well post a step by step tutorial on welding a frame while im at it.

on a side note, changing the map sensor and the memcal really as hard as it looks? i know the steps to do it, but ive heard nothing but horror stories about it so far.

I dynamatted (is that really a word?) with two layers, and it made a world of difference. It was a lot harder than I thought.

I think just getting a used cradle would probably hold up better in the long term. Besides I weld like a retarted ape on drugs.

I changed out my memcal couple of years ago. Not tough at all. The ECM is a little rough to get to, but not impossible. Not sure on the MAP.

Changing a MAP is impossible because it is not there, the "C" 3800 has a MAF (it is easy to change - three screwws (don't drop) and a connector.

If this is the floor pan you are talking about.. you are in trouble. Since our cars only have a subframe, they are pretty much entirely supported by the body. If it'* not the floor pan you are talking about.. then I would need more info.

Changing the MAF sensor is so easy, I think a 3 year old could do it. it'* a rectangular box just to the right of the TB. It is connected directly to the TB, and it'* called the MAF Body. Just remove the three screws, disconnect the connector, and pull out. Easy as that.

Getting the ECU out would be difficult. Remove your glovebox [not just drop it, it'* like 5 screws or something]. The ECU is about right dead in the center, then up right above the glovebox opening. You may want to remove the DIC module [if equiped] to aid better access.

I don't know what you are talking about, but my glovebox is out, and all I have to do is look up and there is the ECU/DIC module.

ECU.

The kickpanel thing is what has me confused. Mine doesn't have anything in the way, more than the glovebox.
