Fixed hesitation, and improved mileage!! Tire decision?
Hey all, I posted quite a while back about my car hesitating when the tank is 1/2 full.
Well, first off, I had to replace my tank, it was leaking arounds the filler neck of the tank. so for quite a while, it smelled, and leaked. Got a new tank, pulled the pump outta the old tank, and holy! The strainer was filthy!! Took a while, but i got a new strainer.
Plus! Seems the previous owner, had never replaced the fuel filter. So, I stuck a new one on. But it seems that it was on the return line?? so the filter was on backwards? The filter is on the thickest line, and I saw fuel pouring out of the medium line. So I screwed the filter on what seemed the right way, in the direction of the tank.
Strange ehhh? :?: :?:
Not only the hesitation has stopped, I got a really huge increase in my mileage! Not sure yet, haven't completed the job of securing the vapour line, so i cannot fill it to full.
Now, I am working to upgrade the horrible 14 inch tires to 15 inch.
Is this possible without any other changes to computers, and what not?
Size- P205/75/R14 Convert to the grand touring tires, P215/65/R15
Is that a good idea? This will need 15x6 rims, right? I plan to use cheapie rims till i can afford some 570 dollar rims on www.wheelcollision.com
Yes, I am sticking with buick rims, only. Gotta keep my style.
Thanks for the help!!
