E026 Help please
I am off of the Reatta Forum and the forum is down for some improvements. I have a friend (F14) who frequents this forum and likes it...and I thought you folks could possibly help with a problem I am experiencing....
I had both E022 (both C and H) and E026H occur. I have repaired some TPS (E022) wiring and for the most part the E022 is repaired and the code has vanished (I have still another open in the main harness that affects the TPS voltage when the harness is moved but when placed in a certain position the circuit closes and the TPS voltage is corrected...in other words, it is an intermittent open). I will need another harness to repair this problem and will address it at a later date since I am not coding now.
But the E026H code has remained (and comes back after clearing). I really have no idea or know ANYTHING about electrics and this Quad Driver business in more than "greek" to me. So far I think I have deducted (by reading the FSM) that it has to do with fan relays, the EGR valve, and a TCC something. Not long ago I almost overheated one day for some reason....should I replace the fan relays maybe??? The car has not overheated since then. I need this car for vacation in a few days and have a hopeless feeling right now :( ...Help please?
Opps, forgot to mention that after the TPS wiring repair and clearing the codes everything was fine until the engine ran to operating temperature...I also just went out after it has cooled and errased the codes, started the car, and there are no E codes.
thanks

Update:
I let the engine/car continue to run until the fan came on (guess not the relays) while idling and still no e codes......I drove it around the block and BAM :o ...E026H codes. Can this mean something with the TCC thingie maybe please?
thanks

I do thank the forum for allowing me to post though.... and seriously and honestly, best of luck to everyone ......

Bonnevilles of this era have two digit trouble codes. You might have an early OBD 2 car. Perhaps you would get more help in a section for later model Bonnevilles. Don't go away mad, just go check out a section for later models. I have heard that Buick cars often have a unique set of codes.
I have yet to find anyone here to tell me what to do for an intermittent code 26. Weekends are slow, and this isn't the most popular year model span for Bonnevilles. Best of luck to you too.
