got a new fuel pump 4 my bony after reading posts here about wire by battery to test pump thank you very much dropped tank wiring harness where it plugs into pump was fryed got a new pump and sock and replasement wiring harness everything was a no brainer wiring all plugged in as before witth old one life is good right? wrong read on installed tank hooked battery up cycled key on and off to prime car would not start no fuel at rail ok did not replase filter crawl underneath take filter loose no fuel there either pump runs but nothing take tank back off take fuel pump out scratch head only 1 way to plug wires in because of locking tabs pump must be bad so i make a couple wires to plug into pump and trow it in tank and hook wires to a battery pump runs like hell but no fuel comes out so i switch wires around and hook back up to battery pump runs and pumps fuel like hell so what i learned is the wiring harness they sold me was wired backwards pump will still run but not pump a drop of fuel or should i say pump runs backwards anyway i cut there harness and swapped wires and put it back togeater and car cracked right off and runs like a dream i just thought id post in hopes that somebody else having this trouble with a new pump and harness can find a slolution to it
