Let me guess- your alarm just goes off for no reason whatsoever?
I had an 89 SSE with the same problem as well as my current 91. If you remove your stereo, located in the mess of wires (closer to the stering wheel) you will find a lone 20 amp fuse just sort of sitting there. Pull the fuse- alarm is disconected. Are you installing an aftermarket alarm?
What color combo is your car? my 89 was white on grey cloth, it went to 438,000 km- before everything went all at once That was my first Bonnie- but I liked it so much I got a 91, which has been totally re-done. I've dealt with anything that can possibly go wrong with an 89- any other issues let me know.

Yeah, I'd be interested as to where the MTO Auction is too I'd love to pick up another SSE for $90. Hope the alarm disconection goes well. 89SE- Love the original two tone paint on your Bonnie, as well as the Factory rims. I'm sure we could swap some 89 stories. Have you ever had AC in yours? the compressor was changed 4 times in my 89SSE, It actually started smoking when it went @130km on the 404 heading to Toronto. That sucked

Well Mike, my air con has never worked since i got it. In fact I need a new compressor. And a refridgerant retrofit or whatever.

Its no sweat tho, as long as the power windows still work. Come out on August the 30th to our meet to check out some sweet Bonnevilles

Mine, lots of 92-99, and a couple of 2000+ I'm hoping for at least 2-2000 Bonnes to show up. One Black and one White....oh ya

Ministry Of Transportation Auction was here in sudbury about a 6 weeks ago. I just ran a search for "sudbury auction" and signed up for that one. Had a lot of good deals. I'm pretty sure every city has one a year. The biding started at $25 for my car...so they can go pretty cheap. I tried to find the fuse behind the stereo but no luck. Its not in the fuse pannel under the stering wheel??

Where are you all meeting? I'll have to book off the 30th. So not many of the classic Bonnies eh? I don't mind the 92-99, But I still like our models better
I had AC in my 91', for three months- then Ib got the leather interior, and the damm thing went. I haven't looked to much farther into getting it replaced though, all things considered that its used for 2 months of the year. I think that Drifter420 added me to a list- is this the same meet?
