Jr's3800 is the expert on this mod. He says you get a better, hotter spark that improves performance and economy with the coil pack from Series II engines. Most junkyards will sell you the ICM and coil pack for $45, but if I remember correctly you need to get a coil mounting plate from a specific model (L27?) to allow you to bolt the Series II coils and ICM onto your mounting bracket.
Jr's3800 can tell you for sure.

Yes..any 92-99 ICM and 3 coil packs will work. The mounting plate being spoken about is in the upper right of this picture. There are two of them sitting there.
They have three flat square head bolts and they bolt to the bracket that is bolted to the head of your car. The connector to the ICM hooks up directly, the three coil packs screw down perfectly and you are back up and running.

Your best bet is to find a 1993-1995 L27, this engine will have " 3800 Tuned Port Injection " on the injector sight sheild cover... This unit will be Plug and play...
Either that or you could have Bill Boost supply you with all of the correct parts for the swap as he does have them..
If there is anything you need to know, just ask thats what we are here for..

It will for sure. My coil came off a 93 Buick Regal actually, but I had to return one of the coils cause it was bad, but changed it and has worked great ever since. Had this MOD for about a month now, but I keep the old one in the trunk- just in case.
It makes the engine look really nice too.
