Default Code 39 TCC

I have an 89 LE and My ses light is not on, but when I check the codes I get the 12 (which is normal) and then I get a 39. Everything seems to be fine with the tranny (no funny jerks, slippage etc.). I had the tranny flushed and plan on getting the filter and gasket done also. Does this indicate a problem with the solenoid, or is there someplace else I should check. I have read a lot of threads that talk about the temp and brake switch. Where should the temp run on the gage. Mine runs at the second marker on the gage when it is warmed up.

Just wondering if i should have the solenoid changed when I have the filter done.
