Filter Element In EGR
I noticed while going through my 87 VIN 3 engine that there is an EGR control valve mounted next to the Ignition Control Module. It has a cap that says FILTER stamped on it. i pried the cap off and found a small little pleated paper filter inside. Where do I get this filter? None of the local parts stores list this filter. Any ideas anyone?

does it have enough room to cut up a K&N filter to the size? When I get home I'll be sure to check out what you are talking about.. Maybe that won't be a bad upgrade? You could also put weather stripping on it, to make it sealed.. or use some of the stuff on the filter element [either from the factory piece, or the k&n piece].

No, it looks too small too be cut to size. It kinda resembles the fuel filters that sometimes went in the inlet fitting of carberuators. I'm going to try to match it up with one of those and see. The one in it now is dirty and I blew it out.
