The bolt just won`t come loose. I tried with every (ok-ok, maybe I forgot some) way, but it will not loosen up. What do I need to get it done?

Well the way I do it is unsafe, hazardous to your health, and not recommended for anyone. Caveat y'all and notary sojack. Have only done this with "C" 3800s and Pontiac 400s.

I take a 2 foot breaker bar and a short socket - no extension. Put on balancer bolt from under the car and wedge against the frame rail by rotating the crank until there is no slack (there are some breakable items in the area and the wedge needs to avoid all of them.).

Next pull all of the spark plug wires (or the crank sensor connector) so the engine can't fire.

I then make certain that there are no observers and everyone is in a protected area

Then I momentarily hit the starter - MOMENTARILY, do not want it to spin. May take a couple of clunks but has always worked for me. I always reposition the socket on the bolt and wrench wedge after every clunk

More weasel words - again, if you are at all unsure, don't - find someone with a real impact wrench.

Note this works ONLY for removing the bolt, you need a different method to install/tighten properly.

I remember when my dad had to remove the crank bolt for his '85 BMW 745i. If you've ever tried getting that off, you need to have 800ft lbs of leverage on the thing, and that is the only way to get it off. He had a craftsman breaker bar, which he broke. He had a snap on breaker bar which didn't have enough leverage. And after two weeks of trying to get that bolt off, he finally did with a 4ft breaker bar. Now, I doubt that the bolt for our bonne'* needs that much leverage, but it just goes to show, you're going to need a lot of strength and a big breaker bar to get that bolt off. Padgett'* method will work, but as he states, if anything is not right, don't do it. That is an EXTREMELY dangerous method of removing it, but will work if done correctly. The safer method is to just get a bigger breaker bar..

i use a socket, with an extension that gets me outside of the wheelwell so i can put a breaker bar on it, and put a 4 foot pipe on the breaker bar. get someone to hold the flywheel from turning by wedging a screwdriver in between the teeth and up against the bellhousing. then give her hell!!! it'll come off. be careful though! it'* probably going to pop when it does and you'll think you broke something....maybe even your arm. after that it comes right out and the pulley slides right off.

I ended up with an 8 foot 2" square tube breaker bar when I had to pull it on my Vin 3.

Thanks for everybody for answering. After 4 days (and some wrenches looking like macaronis now) of trying, I finally tasted sucess. It turned out, that somebody had used really strong glue. But anyways, got it open now.
