After a long and determined search, finally located in Iowa, acquired, and works just great.

16123352 is apparently the right one for a 90 Bonne since it came out of a 90 SSE and the SWC all work properly. 16137562 is apparently the 1991 equivalent. Was CD available in 1989 ?

Sweet, never seen one of those before. How does it handle burned CDs, have you tried?

(FIX THAT EQUALIZER!!! [if you haven't already])

I don't have any burned CDs. Could ask son, He has had CD in his car for a while.

Fix what equalizer ? It works fine. (Centered for photo).

ps lights come on and dim properly also, literally "plug and play"

pps you do not need to remove the ash tray to R&R the radio

ppps found through carparts.com. Actually found three - one in Canada wanted $70 to ship. One in NYC would not ship no way no how, people in Iowa were friendly and fast.

It WON'T play burned CD'*, back when that was made, there were no such thing as laser burners. My dad'* '96 suburban doesn't play burned cd'*, and i'm sure 92-95 bonnie'* don't play burned cd'* either.. maybe we can have someone with a 92-95 cd deck to try.

My stock CD player in my 91 played burnt CDs.... but be sure to burn them at a slow speed..... I find the slower the speed the better they work.

Burning them at +32x ... well.... if you run over a leaf on the road... it'll cause it to skip.

Woah. Is that what causes the skipping? I've been burning at 48x and getting annoyed... Oh yeah... Now I just have to burn a few CD'* to test this one out... It'* gonna be nice to have a cd player that doesn't skip when you drive over the white stripe while changing lanes...

hmm.. that'* weird, because I have a 52x burner at my dad'*, and I used that to test a CD on his suburban.. I should probably retest it then..

Looks good in there. I do beleive 1988 was the first model year the CD player was optioned for the bonneville. Twas not an option for my beloved 87 but i got a cool new one that matches the Pontiac colors nicely!!
