Default Abs?

I have an abs light in my dash, but it dosent light up when I start the car, and my brakes dont pump, they just lock up. So Im guessing my car dosent have it, but why would there be a light in the dash for it then?

It'* a standard made guage cluster for that year. It'* easier and cheaper to build them all the same and just not put a bulb in there, than it is to make a special dash for cars that didn't have the option.

Yeah, if a 1990 car had ABS that would be awesome.

Not really, our SSE had ABS, and it was a 1990. The old Teves system, you know, with the accumulators that would like to go, and were absurdly expensive to replace. But I tell you what though, there was a couple of times where that ABS saved our @$$.
