They have a coil pack sitting on top of an ignition module. The coil pack screws are probably torx head, if you aren't using a torx driver to remove them, you will probably strip them. If you can't separate the coil pack from the ignition module, replace them both. Take the ignition module off with the coils attached. 3 nuts on bottom.

For the "gearguys" to help you , you first have to tell us what year, make and model car you have.
Next, start from the beginning, and describe exactly what'* happened to your car.
Then, tell what things you've done to try to fix it.
ok ?
(and try to split up your thoughts in paragraphs, like I have above)
(edited)(oops! I see you have a previous post that shows your car sig. I wonder why it didn't appear here? :? )
(also you seem to have two "threads" going on simultaneously -- maybe the admin can fix this? Or am I missing something?(again))

I have never heard of anyone checking for spark with a screwdriver. Maybe I have been missing something all these years. I explained to you how to check for spark and how to check your plug wires on another thread. The search feature is your friend.
Now that you have the parts off, go get new ones and put them on. Or go to a salvage yard and get good used parts. What is it that you don't understand
While you are at the salvage yard, check on the availability of an engine computer. As you were poking things with a screwdriver, you might have fried that too.
To remove the screws, if the correct sized torx bit isn't working for you, then tap them with a hammer a couple of times straight down on top of the screw head. Then clamp a vise grip on it and twist it off. Or if you have a Dremel, cut a slot in the screw head and use a flat bladed screwdriver instead.

Checking for spark with a screwdriver is the simplest method. Stick the metal end in the boot, hold the handle, and move it near something metal (chassis ground). It'll spark when it gets close.
I agree that a year and model would help, as well as all the other things you checked. The coil pack and ICM aren't the only things to prevent a spark.
