THANKS! Will check grounds Sunday. Today was for plugging a big hole (broken drain plug) in radiator. Love that JB Weld. Only 300-400k miles (odometer died a few years ago). Maybe trade for a pair of low mileage walking shoes...
Want to build a missing pulse detector for the crank/cam sensor. If it works I'll publish it. Care all... Lkrze

I'll save you some of the trouble: either mount an oscilloscope in your passenger seat and figure out how to wire it in parallel with the crank sensor wires, or check out this link on testing crank sensors.

If you can get the tire and harmonic balancer off on your own, of course, it'* cheaper to just replace it and call it a day.
