Finnally got a vin decoder that works well off another forum . http://www.compnine.com/vid.php?vin=2g4wd14l5n1466443 . It say the 92 Regal is:
ME9 TRANSMISSION,AUTOMATIC 4-SPEED(THM440-T4/4T60) 4-SPD A/TRANS(ME9)
FW2 TRANSAXLE,FINAL DRIVE,3.06 RATIO(USED WITH GRAN TOURING PKG Y56) 3.06R(FW2
Does not say it'* 4T60E ! I've read where others are thinking of using an H body trans in a W body.

Found an old post on one of the W body forums where someone swapped a 92 L27/4t60E Lesabre eng tranny into a 92 Regal (LN3/4t60). Tranny bolted right in with 1 Lesabre and 1 Regal tranny mount.

I got the $T60 tans swapped from the 92 Regal. The 3.06 gears are great and it was a direct swap with no changes. I have'nt checked to see if the speedo is correct yet. But excelleration is quicker and much smoother.

Speedo is only off by 2 miles. At 60 the gps says 58 mph. So not bad actually. I have not gotten on it hard but it can spin the wheels now. Fun to drive.

Tires are 225/60 16'* on Olds LSS rims which i had on there before the tranny swap. Originally were 14'*. When i had the old tranny in it it was spot on. Reading at 60 was 60 on the gps. I don't remember what size were on the 92 Regal that the tranny came out of but they were 16'*.
I going out to the u-pull this thurs to get a 92up brake upgrade, any idea what size the nut is on the axle ? I've heard 34 and 36 so i'm not sure. Also picking up a set of LG3 exhaust manifolds, the ones that look like headers. If the cars still there.

I stopped by my friends jy today and asked him about the 92up brakes. Seems he just crushed a 94 lesabre and forgot about pulling the brakes for me. I knew he'd forget.
