A flooded engine is a pain to start. Floor it and hold it down. Crank the engine for 20 seconds or so. Then stop but keep it floored. If you crank to long you risk over heating the starter. After a while you should hear it kick, sometimes if you let off the gas while cranking it will kick more. After a while it will start.
