Default Actron SCANTOOL question

Has anyone ever bought one of these?

Does it just do the same as shorting out with the wire trick?

My main question is will this thing tell me if my computer (ECM) is crapping out?

Hmm, Thanks for the response.

Not getting any codes without a scan tool so I probably wont get any with a scan tool right?

It'* definetly on the list of goodies to buy...Just hate to go and buy an ECM if it is not the problem.

Careful here. There'* an Actron CODE reader (cheap pos) and an Actron Scantool. I own one of those, too, and love it.
