Key Stuck
Yeah well I found out at the beginning of the week that the key was stuck in the ignition ( I was 1.5 hours away and only got home tonight). I had a quick look at it, and to me it seems that the car is not locking in park properly for the shifter to click in place. I think it is just the cable that goes from the ignition to the floor shifter that is out of adjustment. I did read a couple of posts on here where it seemed that the shifter had moved up a bit, so I will try that first ( pushing down on the shifter). If not I will go at it from the center console and see what I can do from there.
Any other solution anyone can think of?? Basically right now, I had Renée leave the key in the ignition, lock the doors and put the alarm on. So right now there is only the ignition key in the car.

that sounds like a cable mike- the 89 did that a few times, and other times you didn't even need the key to start her.
hows the frame holding up?

Well I decided to try and push down on the shifter....nothing, but I did notice that the button came out a bit more. So I figured I would remove the t-bar shifter and see what is going on.
Once removed the key came out no problem. Ends up I just lubricated the shifter ( spring inside was sticking) and it shifts great now and key removes no problem.
