87 Bonneville-intermittent problems with starting
Ran great but hesitated from time to time. Then, started shutting down while running but would immediately restart. It seemed as if it was not getting enough fuel (or receiving it intermittently) but am now suspecting electrical problem. Have replaced: fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel regulator, crank shaft sensor, battery and cables and usual tune up parts. ICM has been tested, they say it'* fine.
After all that, things are worse! It now will crank, will start but will not idle or keep running. There seems to be no grounds in door area or connected to the ICM. Have been unable to locate ANY ground straps or bus connectors. I purchased it used, can see where an anti-fheft device was removed but it appears to have all it'* other parts.
When it runs it runs GREAT. Now, it'* just a confusing mess. Ideas, suggestions etc would be greatly appreciated-frustration level is overflowing.

No anti theft devices on the 87-91 Bonnevilles..
There are varying possibilities on this one..
Have you pulled the codes on this car? I can remember back in the day these used to eat MAF sensors... See if you have any codes at all

To answer some Q'*
The battery and the battery cables were replaced - clean and tight.
Have pulled the codes as repairs were done. The last one indicated the mixture was too lean and once the fuel pump was replaced that one cleared. Right now, no new codes.
Regarding an anti-theft device, it appears to have been an after-market add on and then removed.
We appreciate all your ideas - the more we know the more likely we are to finally find the problem! Thanks everyone!
