1989 Bonneville SSE, Needs transmission
Our faithful old Bonneville has given up on us, ...
1989, SSE, White w/ tan cloth interior.
Has the matching white type wheels.
It only has about 95,000? miles on it. No rust, no damage.
Had new a/c compressor two years ago, & new a/c clutch a couple weeks ago.
No other problems known of. It'* been a reliable daily driver for us for many years now.
The compass doe snot work, never has. Everythin else does.
No sunroof.
The elastic strap on the back of the driver'* seat was cut many moons ago.
Interior is in pretty good condition. No rips, no tears, no major stains that I know of.
Tires are in very good condition, wheels have the typical scars from many years of use around the lip area where weights have been on/off.
Does not use oil, engine is also in good condition. Small oil leaks here & there. Nothing major to cause it to need oil between changes.
Now the kicker, ...
The transmission case broke this afternoon. So it needs a complete transmission.
I need to make a decision pretty quick whether to fix it or sell it as is.
Located in Kearney, NE.
I only have a couple old photos of it. And it'* currently sitting at a repair shop, so I can not go out & take any more photos of it right now.
I'd really like to get about $1200 for it, but am open to offers.
PM for email info or photos.
Yes, I'll list this in the proper forum in the For Sale area also, ...
(Just waiting for some mod to come along & kick it out of here, ..., like it doesn't belong in the 1987-1991 forum, ...)
